NOT many restaurants can offer the unique blend of home-style Indian and Malaysian food that is available at the new Bullcreek Curry House.
Head chef and owner Ratha took over just a few months ago and already the eatery has become a popular choice for locals to come for a laid-back, leisurely meal.
This Malaysian restaurateur has spent many years working as a chef at both the Hyatt Regency and Parmelia Hilton, but his dream has always been to recreate the recipes of his home in his own restaurant.
Everything on the menu is made from scratch, with most curries cooked from a tomato or onion base without harmful additives – and the flavours are all the better for it.
The buffet spoils diners for choice with a huge selection of curries, salads, desserts and pickles that differ from the selections usually seen on a stock-standard buffet.
The fish kholambu is a rare treat, the tandoori chicken tender and juicy, and the beef vindaloo is made to the home-style house recipe.
Vegetarians can choose from a long list of chickpea, lentil or vegetable dishes from the buffet, but for something different, the mock meat curries are fantastic and flavoursome.
The restaurant is inviting and comfortable, but locals can also order takeaway for pick-up or delivery.
Bullcreek Curry House caters for functions of any size as well as outside catering anytime, anywhere.
