Serving up a new menu

Comments:

CHANGE is in the air at the Woodvale Tavern, with a new head chef and all new menu to be launched in February.

Dennis Chominski has been experimenting with dishes for the new menu, including pan fried chicken breast with chargrilled vegetables in picante sauce.

The Australia Day weekend will be big at the Woodvale, with traditional barbecue food, special prices on Australian beers and live entertainment on January 23, 24 and 26.

Two days later on January 28 will be a celebration of all things Welsh with the St David’s Day celebration, complete with Tom Jones tribute band.

On Valentine’s Day on February 14, you can enjoy a candlelit three-course meal with your special someone for $35 per person.

Live music kicks off at the Woodvale at 9pm every Friday and Saturday night, and on Monday nights, children eat free from the kids menu.

Tuesday night is curry-oke night, with your choice of one of two curries, a pint and the chance to wail along to your favourite song, for $19.95.

On Wednesday night, you can stretch your mind, without stretching your budget, at the $15 rump steak and quiz night.
