Comments:

POLICE have charged a 23-year-old Armadale man with possessing a prohibited weapon after allegedly finding a stun gun disguised as a mobile phone inside his car on Saturday.

Rockingham police were conducting a routine traffic stop on Read Street in Rockingham when a search of the man’s vehicle allegedly uncovered the illegal device.

The weapon was seized and man summonsed to face court at a later date.

Last month Kwinana police allegedly found a similar disguised stun gun in the backpack of a 33-year-old Kelmscott man who was arrested on drug charges in Orelia.

The devices are dangerous and have the potential to be fatal.
