Schoolboy tormented for salami sandwich

A SYDNEY couple has withdrawn their two children from a public primary school, claiming their 11-year-old son was bullied by Muslim students because he ate a salami sandwich during Ramadan.

Andrew Grigoriou said yesterday he complained to the school and to police after his son Antonios was chased and later assaulted by Muslim students after a confrontation over the contents of his lunch, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Antonios, a Year 5 student of Greek-Australian background at Punchbowl Public School in Sydney's southwest, said he and a friend had to be locked inside the library for an hour after being chased by a group of Muslim boys offended by his choice of food while they were fasting.

This is only the thin edge of the wedge, they are teaching there children at an early age. If nothing is done about this problem we all will become victims of there 14th century antics.

This story is appalling, what is the NSW education department doing about it? We are Australian, not muslim, christian, jewish or any other religion, and this is not a private school, how do these kids get away with it? There should be 0% bullying policy. Where has the authority of the school gone?

I am absolutely disgusted in this incident. How dare these Muslim students bully a boy or anybody else for eating a salami sandwich, this is a Christian society, please if you don't like our culture please feel free to leave. As a parent I'm sorry I would take these students to court and charge them with racism. They leave their country because of wars, discrimination, poverty, why in heck do they bring their hate with them, why do they expect us to confirm to their ways, minority of people tell us the majority of Christians etc in this country. I am not a racist but sick to death of our living standards, rights going down the toilet. Why do these Muslims come to this country, they all now that we eat pork, chicken, lamb and beef. Unfortunately this is the beginning of the end of our English/Australian/European way of life. England and Europe are suffering with the racism wounds within their cultures. Muslims do not assimilate, against their religion and the Koran.
