VISIT sites of historical and cultural significance and immerse yourself in times gone by as you uncover the fascinating past of the Geographe Bay region.

Settled in 1834, Busselton is one of the earliest settlements in Western Australia.

Evidence of this rich history can be seen as you make your way around the Busselton townsite.

Built in 1856, the heritage-listed Courthouse Gallery is a ‘courthouse meets arthouse’ experience.

St Mary’s Church, built in 1844 of limestone and jarrah, is still a place of worship for the Busselton community.

The Busselton Museum is a great find for those interested in memorabilia and artefacts from days gone by.

Just north of Busselton is the Wonnerup House Settlement.

Built by the Layman family, the settlement comprises a magnificent homestead and original house that was later converted into a dairy.

Closer to Margaret River is Ellenbrook Homestead, built in 1857 by Alfred and Ellen Bussell, with the lovely Meekadarabee Falls walk nearby.

The Wardan Aboriginal Cultural Centre offers visitors the opportunity to experience the culture of the local indigenous people the Wardandi people.

The centre houses an impressive display of South West Aboriginal art and offers guided tours.
